The venue must definitely have adequate facilities to meet the level of guests. Weddings are full of people dressed nice, who want to check their hair, makeup and use the facilities during the reception. It is also customary for the bride and groom to change in to regular formal clothing after their first dance and speeches, and this cannot be done on top of Mount Everest with ease.

Often a simple hall or spacious building is fine for a wedding venue because it then gives you and/or your planner the creative freedom to “dress” the area how you want to.
