For three weeks only beginning Saturday 24th March to Sunday 15th April 2012, Opera Australia will perform Verdi's La Traviata on a shimmering stage, afloat on Sydney Harbour. Come and enjoy this spectacular Opera on Sydney Harbour event!

This monumental production features a forty-piece orchestra, magnificent sets, beautiful costumes, dazzling effects, and a 90 metre chandelier suspended above the purpose-built floating stage. The Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and city skyline provide the spectacular backdrop.

The great Giuseppe Verdi's sumptuous music will be performed by a stellar cast, including sopranos Emma Matthews and Rachelle Durkin, tenors Gianluca Terranova and Ji-Min Park, and baritones Jonathan Summers and Warwick Fyfe.  The orchestra will be conducted by Opera Australia favourite Brian Castles-Onion.
