AHA (NSW) Accommodation Division 10th Annual Awards for Excellence

The New South Wales hotel industry celebrated the excellence of the state’s best 3, 4 and 5 star hotels in style at the 2007 AHA (NSW) Accommodation Division 10th Annual Awards for Excellence.

This year was exceptionally hard for the judges, as the competition was fierce and the standards very high. For the second year in a row The Sebel Pier One Sydney was awarded Superior Hotel of the Year 2007.

Master of Ceremonies and one of Australia’s best-loved entertainers, Adam Spencer, announced the 35 winners from a field of 209 finalists at the glamorous presentation dinner, held at the Grand Harbour Ballroom, Star City.

Hosted by AHA (NSW) Accommodation Division Chairman Mr Richard Munro and AHA (NSW) Deputy Chief Executive, Mr David Elliott, more than 570 attended the gala dinner including the Hon Matt Brown MP, Minister for Tourism and the Hon Bob Baldwin MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Industry Tourism and Resources.

"The 10th Annual AHA (NSW) Accommodation Awards has received a record number of entries from across New South Wales," Mr Munro said.
