The famous and very large silver cup was first contested in 1931 when the then Governor-General of New Zealand, Lord Bledisloe, presented the Cup as a perpetual Rugby trophy and a token of good will between Australia and New Zealand.

The All Blacks have since won the Cup 35 times, with 12 titles only going to the Wallabies. This year’s first game, held at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney, will see the opponents contest the largest trophy in world rugby.
